Before you go

At the northern end of Thorpeness beach the soft cliff is still eroding, despite the gabions and rock defences, so we suggest you keep away from the cliff edge and the cliff foot.

Tides here come in fast and people get cut off every year. Check official tide times before you go, keep an eye on the water, and if someone's in trouble call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
